Are You Serious About Your Telecom Budget?

If you find it hard to believe that an audit can make a big difference in your telecom budget then chances are you haven't given a telecom auditor the opportunity to review your bills (not a sales person whose main concern is to sell you services).

Let's talk about how most people envision telecom expense and their budget.  They get their bills and pay them monthly not thinking there could be many ways to reduce their expense since all appears to work correctly and nothing jumps out when they do look at the bills.  When looking at the telecom budget the CFO may call the provider and ask about contracts and rates as these are the biggest ways to affect the bottom line quickly (they think).

"We telecom auditors are of a different mindset since we have been auditing and investigating bills for years, and we know, based upon experience, what works and what doesn't."  Barbara Clements, President and founder of Auditel Inc. says “For almost fifteen years we have focused on telephone and telecom expense auditing.  We have seen how companies change providers, and watched them update their contracts year after year thinking this is the best way to reduce their telecom expenses and budget.  I challenge you to look deeper.  The reason we haven't advertised and promoted our services is because we haven't needed to.  Our results have spoken for themselves with one company referring us to others since we started.”

Tips

  • A telecom auditor should reduce your telecom expense without carrier changes
  • Research the telecom consultant by contacting references
  • Make sure you are in control of the audit and give permission for any changes
  • Request before and after bills before paying for telecom services

How It All Started .. The Auditel Bio:

About fifteen years ago Barbara Clements was selling long distance to a mid sized grocery store chain and found 30 lines that didn't show any usage on the long distance bill.  Barbara Clements asked the grocery store AP department to allow research, and a site visit to determine if the lines were in use.  These lines were not found at the site during our investigation.  They had been billing for over 10 years!  These telephone lines were PBX lines, and at the time billed $63 per line.  This hefty refund and monthly savings resulted in the beginning of Auditel.  Barbara Clements stopped selling long distance and focused on auditing telephone and telecom bills. After this “audit”, word spread and the banks inside the grocery store requested our services, and this led to Fortune 500 company audits in year one!  Our savings and refunds have continued over the years to major finds within each corporate bill we've analyzed.   Auditel produces a complete detailed audit and now we also provide training.  Some of our students include the US Marines, National Weather Service, GMAC Corporate, and so many others.
