5 Warning Signs of a Scam Business
For years now the rush has been on to mine the Internet and find "gold." Just like miners in the old U.S. west, people flock to the Web hoping to strike it rich. Is it possible? Sure it is! However, those miners of old had to watch out for "fool's...

Make Your Business Work Like Magic
I've been fascinated by magic and magicians since I was little. A successful magician can reach behind my ear, say "abracadabra" and - voila - pull out a quarter. Or with focused concentration, and two taps of a wand, a rabbit comes out of a top hat...

Making Your Business Profitable With More Shipping Options
Before the Internet, your choices for shipping were limited. Pricing was pretty well fixed unless you were doing a lot of business with a specific company and most people bought products locally to keep costs down. With the arrival of the Internet...

Small business feature: Logos that melt in your mouth
(NC)–Pens, baseball caps, golf shirts and coffee mugs are no longer the objects of choice to showcase company logos for special events or client gifts. The latest trend in promotional product advertising is so unique and seductive it actually...

Successfully Obtaining a Small Business Loan
Working with a bank to obtain a small business loan can be an easy or difficult process, depending on how prepared you are to meet with the lender and discuss your business' situation and needs. One of the leading causes of business failure...

To-the-point... Achieve your business objectives 25-50% faster

As a business turnaround entrepreneur for the past 20
years, I have had a lot of conversations with people
about what really makes a business work - - oh, yes,
that over worked word - successful.

Communication...

For every communication there is a sender and a
receiver.

For every communication there is a message.

For every message there is a meaning.

The message received is not necessarily the message
sent.

What really adds complexity to our communication
process is that the message may not carry the same
"meaning" for the receiver as it does for the sender.

Your task as a communicator is to validate that the
message received is identical to the message sent.
Hold it, you're not done yet...

What about the "meaning" contained in your message?
You're right... validate that it's identical for both
the sender and receiver of the message.

Well, thanks a bunch Bob! You gave me the problem
without a solution.

You're right - I did... but there is a reason for it.
I want you to think about what I have shared with you.

It sounds simple... it looks simple... Well, if it's
so simple then why do so many people and businesses
have such a hard time doing it?

In a single word - - AWARENESS.

We aren't aware of its importance to us. We tend to
say what ever hits our tongue and make the
"assumption" that everyone else knows what we mean.
The fact is that I don't know what you think I know,
and you don't know what I think you know. Worse yet,
we don't know, what we don't know... too bad we can't
admit it.

Communication is the lifeblood of your business and a
single word - - yes, the next word you speak can
change the course of your history, and even the
world's.

Your words. one-at-a-time, give you power over who you
become and how well your business does.

Your communication process can open the floodgates to
business opportunities... Optimize your communication
process and your business will achieve its objectives
25-50% faster.

How do I know, it's the first thing that I work with
the business owner or executives to improve, because
of how important it is to the success of any business
turnaround.

Oh, here is another little benefit: reduced operating
costs, performance improvement, higher profits.

Alright Bob, tell me how to do it... Ok, I will give
you three of the necessary elements to work on...

1. State exactly what you mean.

2. Ask for exactly what you want.

3. Ask questions for clarity... Don't make
assumptions.

4. ...

What you are working for is the validation that both
the message and its meaning are identical to what was
sent.

Are you ready for the next step?...
