Diabetes, is a disease that may affect anybody, it does not respect age, sex and social differentiation. The main factor, diabetes is a disease that does not permit to body to work properly, thus, the essential function in our body is: to produce necessary insulin - hormone that converts sugar and other foods in energy -. There are two types of diabetes: type 1 - person is completely dependent of insulin -and type 2 - sometimes is treated by medication.

You should not think that diabetes is only about too much sugar in the blood, it is more than that, sometimes diabetes may cause a dangerous disease, such as: heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetic eye disease, kidney failure, nerve failure, nerve damage, and slow wound-healing that, when affecting the lower limbs, may lead to gangrene and eventually leg - or any parts in your body- amputation.

Usually, many diabetic people develop numbness in their feet, is normal that they ask theirselves: Why does numbness appear? or is numbness in the feet harmful?.
