Simple Steps To Improve Your General Health - Part III

In part I we covered diet, in part II it was exercise, in this final article we will look into supplements.

The food we eat today doesn't contain as much vitamins and minerals as it used to, so to make up for it, you might want to consider including some supplements in your daily diet.

Multivitamins:

One of the supplements you should consider is a good multivitamin. There are a lot of choices out there though, so you should do some research before you decide which one to get. Find a comparative test performed by an independent 3rd party, because the quality varies tremendously.

Omega 3:

Unless you eat fatty fish like salmon, tuna, mackerel and sardines 3 times a week, Omega 3 essential fatty acids is another supplement you should consider.

These fats are called essential because your body is unable to create them, it must come from food or supplements.

Omega 3 essential fatty acids offer a number of benefits, this includes reduced deaths from heart disease, helps with depressions, lowers aggression in teenagers, improves the immune system and helps regulate blood sugar levels to name a few.

Green tea:

The last supplement we will look at is green tea, which have been used as medicine in China for over 4,000 years.

Green tea has the highest amount of the powerful antioxidant EGCG known, this antioxidant is over 100 times stronger than Vitamin C.

The antioxidants in green tea can help prevent the growth of cancer cells, lower the bad cholesterol LDL, increase the good cholesterol HDL, lower blood pressure, kill the bacteria's causing food poisoning and diarrhea.

You can drink green tea, but to get the amount necessary to have all the benefits, you would have to drink a lot of cups each day, so I would recommend buying a green tea extract.

That concludes this series of simple steps to improve your general health. These are simple steps anyone can take, so don't delay, start today and you will soon feel great.
