New CDs Help to Relieve Stress and Promote Deep Meditative States Within Minutes

LOVINGSTON, Va., April 13 /Xpress Press/ -- For many people, stress is a fact of life. To alleviate its aggravating symptoms, growing numbers of people are turning to meditation as a way to quiet the mind, replenish the spirit, and allow the body to tap its own restorative powers. They sit, eyes closed and straight-backed, yet, even after weeks or months of practice, thoughts still choke their minds like rush-hour traffic. Now, those seeking "peak experiences," or simply peace of mind, can quickly reach the brainstates they desire with the aid of Hemi-Sync® "audio-guidance" CDs (www.hemi-sync.com) and a set of stereo headphones.

Monroe Products announces a new set of three CDs, called Wave V "Exploring," that contain auditory signals and subtle sound effects specifically designed to gently guide listeners into a relaxed and focused state of "no time" similar to levels of consciousness achieved by Zen Buddhist monks and other longtime meditators.

"This is one of the most-requested releases in the history of our company," says Laurie Monroe, president of Monroe Products and The Monroe Institute, a nonprofit organization. Some of the Hemi-Sync® frequencies originally developed for use during The Monroe Institute's 31-year-old Gateway Voyage residential training program have now been incorporated into Wave V of Monroe Products' Gateway Experience in-home audio training series.

"Much has changed in the evolution of human consciousness since we first developed our residential programs, and people seem ready and eager to explore higher states of consciousness," says Monroe. "Because of the accelerating evolution of consciousness, we feel it's time to release the "no time/all time" state of consciousness to the public to help facilitate a greater awareness of humankind's potential." Even now, the Wave V CDs must be purchased and used sequentially as part of a larger series that gradually leads listeners into these deep meditative states.

Monroe Products uses patented sound technologies to facilitate and maintain a naturally occurring brainstate known as hemispheric synchronization, when both the left and right sides of the brain work in unison. Most people experience such states as random moments when they have flashes of insight or unusually focused attention. "It's that 'ah-ha' feeling when the light bulb goes off above your head," says Bob Felix, systems engineer and director of product development at The Monroe Institute.

"We can deliberately re-create those brainstates through the generation of complex, multilayered audio signals having specific wave shapes. These wave shapes act together to create a resonance that is reflected in unique brain wave-forms characteristic of specific states of consciousness. The result is a focused, whole-brain state known as hemispheric synchronization, or Hemi- Sync®, which is an optimal condition for improving human performance," Felix explains.

The Monroe Institute has spent decades developing specific combinations of the patented Hemi-Sync® sound patterns to help individuals achieve profound relaxation, laserlike focus, or expanded awareness, even sleep, among other desired states. Music, verbal guidance, or subtle sound effects are blended with the Hemi-Sync® frequencies in different combinations depending on the intended goal. For instance, the Wave V CDs incorporate verbal guidance along with a sophisticated, layering of Hemi-Sync® signals embedded in "pink noise" to enhance one's ability to achieve and explore deep meditative states.

"Because we work only with sound, our products are completely natural and noninvasive," says Monroe. She adds, "With Hemi-Sync®, long-term meditators and beginners alike find that improving their meditation practice is as easy as putting on a pair of headphones."

Founded in 1974, the nonprofit Monroe Institute is a research and educational organization devoted to the exploration and investigation of human consciousness. The Monroe Institute conducts residential programs at its facilities in Virginia. Monroe Products is dedicated to promoting the many uses of Hemi-Sync® technology for spiritual growth, relaxation, focused attention, pain management, and enhanced well-being through its Hemi-Sync® tapes and CDs.
