Do you have the skills that will help you succeed?

In addition, there may be lower pay than what you are used to. There also may be no benefits to speak of.

There is no one there to tell you what to do. If you are starting a home business, you will have to do your own research and all the work. There are no other employees that will pick up the slack when you are sick. Did I mention no paid sick days either?

Working from home isn't for everyone. Some people prefer to get out of the house. They like the office politics and to have the chance to talk to adults once in a while. If you are working from home, you are often alone at a computer.

On the other hand, you may be interested in being at home with the kids or for other reasons. Whatever you choose, try testing it out first to see if it is right for you. Perhaps pick up a part time job online and see how it works with you. You never know until you try.
