If MLM Is So Great Why Is My Heart Over In The Corner?

It is sad many people look at previous MLM experiences differently than other experiences in their life.

One out of every three people I speak with about network marketing shares a negative experience with me. They don't believe their dream of a residual income and time freedom will ever be realized because of one mlm business that didn't work for them.

I ask 2 questions.

1. Have you experienced a bad meal?
2. Have you experienced a bad relationship?

The answer to both questions is always yes. Then I ask 2 additional questions.

1. Did you quit eating?
2. Did you quit looking for someone to share your life with?

The answer to both questions is always no.

Why is the reaction to a bad network marketing experience different than the reaction to a bad meal or relationship? One reacts to a bad meal by not patronizing a particular restaurant. One reacts to a bad relationship by moving on.

I certainly understand how people who had a negative experience in network marketing feel.

Utilizing "Feel, Felt, Found" I share my experience with them.

This article is based on my story.

A few years ago my heart was ripped from my chest and it sat in a corner for awhile. I felt as if my dreams were destroyed.

After 13 years in management being overworked, underpaid and unappreciated, I drew a line in the sand and took control. My husband and I started a home-based business with a network marketing company. In 3 years, we built a large organization. We were enjoying a substantial income and time freedom when the company came to a screeching halt. After eight months of litigation the company went under. I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly.

This experience was one of the darkest moments in my life.

It would have been easy to develop a negative attitude and give up on my dreams. However, through all the ups and downs in life I discovered how you feel about your circumstances depends on what you focus on. When you change your thoughts you will change your life.

Instead of complaining and blaming, I decided to look at our situation with an attitude of gratitude and appreciation. I focused on the positive. Positive? Yes! Our income was gone. However, no one could take away the knowledge I acquired - wisdom, skills and personal growth I never would have obtained in traditional business. I learned so much about success and belief.

Dr. William Menninger (1899-1966), a well-known leading American psychiatrist and co-founder of the internationally famous Menninger Clinic psychiatric center, said there are six essential qualities that are the key to success: sincerity, personal integrity, humility, courtesy, wisdom, charity. We associated with a lot of successful people, and I found this to be true.

Your success depends upon your frame of mind, and you are in control of 100% of your own mindset. You must be persistent and maintain a positive attitude.

"No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars, or sailed to an unchartered land, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit." -Helen Keller.

Successful people never quit. You will never hear a successful person say, "I can't do this," "I quit," "I'll try," " I hope," or "Impossible." Can't, quit, try, hope, and impossible are not a part of their vocabulary.

Success is defined by you. Do you want to be able to attend all of your children's games or recitals? Do you want time to volunteer for a charity or an organization? Do you want to be able to afford to send your children or yourself to college? Success is predicated upon you making decisions and taking action to lead toward success.

The secret to success is simply to not give up. Keep the faith. Believe and keep going! Believe in yourself and success will surely follow. I believe in you and we have never met. I believe in you, because you are investing your time reading this article.

The traditional means of earning money are becoming less abundant, and people are turning their pursuits toward an alternative way of earning an income. The market is virtually unlimited!

Network Marketing is a fun and rewarding experience. In addition, you can reap rewards beyond your wildest dreams. Through personal commitment and helping others to help themselves, you can build a solid business and enjoy a residual income.

If your heart is sitting in a corner, pick it up and move on. Whatever your definition of success, it can be yours.
